AC Condenser Cleaning Done Right

The air conditioning (AC) condenser is responsible for releasing the heat from the indoor air to the outside environment. It also ensures that the AC system consumes less energy while providing better cooling. Imagine if the condenser coil is dirty. It wouldn’t transfer heat as effectively, which makes the system work harder to cool your home.

It’s best to have your condenser coil cleaned regularly by a professional HVAC technician to maintain your AC system’s efficiency and longevity. You can have it cleaned as part of your annual maintenance routine. KungFu Helper make sure that only trained and experienced technicians get to touch and clean your AC system.

Our Steps to Cleaning an AC Condenser

AC Condenser Cleaning
  • Preparation

Our technicians will turn off the power to the AC unit at the circuit breaker for safety during the aircon condenser cleaning. Then, we will cover any exposed electrical components to protect them from water damage.

  • Apply Coil Cleaner

A specialised coil cleaner is sprayed onto the condenser coils to break down dirt and grime that have accumulated on the coils. The cleaner is left to soak for the amount of time specified by the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Rinse and Straighten

The technicians use a garden hose or pressure washer in a “gentle” setting to rinse the coils. If the condenser fins are bent, they will use a fin comb to gently straighten them.

  • Clean the Area

The area around the condenser unit is cleaned. Any waste material generated during the cleaning will be get rid of.

  • Restore Power and Test

Once the cleaning is complete and the unit is dry, our technicians will restore power to your AC system and test it to ensure it is working properly.
